There’s still time to help The Salvation Army reach its Chirstmas goal

January 29, 2011

The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County is at 90 percent of the $2.7M 2010 Christmas Campaign goal, donations to date total $2,438,158. Although the traditional Red Kettles will not be seen or heard again until next Christmas, Milwaukee residents still have 7 days to give by mailing a check or giving on-line at www.SAmilwaukee.org. The Christmas Campaign ends on Monday, January 31.

84 cents of every dollar donated helps to sustain year round critical programs and services. Here in Milwaukee County, The Salvation Army operates more 85 programs. Those programs and services include but are not limited to Christmas assistance, disaster relief, emergency housing, food and clothing, utility & rent assistance, employment services and summer lunch programs for children.

Donations can be made on line at www.SAmilwaukee.org or by mailing your donation to: The Salvation Army, 11315 W. Watertown Plank Road, Wauwatosa, WI 53226.
