In Milwaukee, 1 in 3 children are living in poverty.Not having a home impacts every aspect of a child’s life. It can damage their physical and emotional health and interfere with their education and development. The Children’s Development Program at The Salvation Army Emergency Lodge addresses these needs of homeless children and their families through shelter, family case management, housing assistance, tutoring, summer camps and more.
