Pick ’n Save and Metro Market customers donate more than $12,000 to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts

December 1, 2012

Roundy’s Supermarkets Inc. would like to thank its Pick ’n Save and Metro Market customers in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. Thanks to their generosity, we’re sending more than $12,000 to Hurricane Sandy victims.

From November 9-24, Milwaukee area Pick ’n Save and Metro Market customers were able to donate $1 or more at the checkout to provide assistance to Hurricane Sandy victims on the east coast. Those dollars added up over the last two weeks to more than $12,000. Roundy’s worked with the American Red Cross in Southeastern Wisconsin to collect the donations and distribute the aid to the Hurricane Sandy region. This effort comes three weeks after Roundy’s donated a truck load of water to the hurricane relief effort in New Jersey.
