The Bishop’s Creek Development Corporation, Bishop Sedgwick Daniels and the Holy Redeemer Church of God In Chirst joyfully dedicated its Pre- Collegant Dormitory prayer tower and one of a kind children’s orphanage.

The dormitory is a 5 story, 23,000 square foot structure designed to be a co-ed living environment for high school students ages 14-18. Students will attend the Young-Coggs Academy for academic courses on the campus of Holy Redeemer and will have the privilege to participate in extra curricular activities, arts, and athletic programs. A portion of the youth will come from the foster care system and the at-risk population. Youth will have access to the Wrap Around Services via COGIC Social Services, MKDCC, and the Boys and Girls Club. Construction trade training programs will be available for youth interested in the construction trade.

Thousands of dollars have been raised to date through grants, foundations, church capital campaigns and the City of Milwaukee programs.

The mission of the Residential Life Program is to provide a structured and nurturing environment in which boarding students can live, learn, and grow. Through a variety of activities and programs, students will learn key life skills, develop a sense of community and come to a greater awareness of how to live a productive and fulfilled life. It is the hope of the HRCA staff to create an environment that closely approximates that of a home while acknoledging the differences between a home and a dormitory; as such, supporting our boarders in their efforts to succeed at HRCA. In this regard, a residential life curriculum will be created to guide students and adults who live in the dormitories.
