Family Advocate
The Social Development Commission (SDC) plans, develops and operates programs to improve the lives of low-income people in Milwaukee. This position works with families to identify needs, provide information, make referrals and develops individualized treatment and service plans for clients, clients’ families and social service providers. Job duties involve visiting clients in their homes or in the community, advocating for and resolving clients’ human services needs, and developing relationships with community contacts. Job requirements consist of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services and two years of related experience and/or training. The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
