For over forty-five years, the Social Development Commission (SDC) has served as a planner, coordinator, and implementer of human service programs for low-income individuals and families in Milwaukee County. We currently have the following job openings:
ASSESSMENT SPECIALIST
This position administers assessments, facilitates the career counseling process and assists clients in identifying barriers to employment. Job duties include interpreting vocational and personality assessments, preparing reports with client recommendations and entering appropriate information in the CARES system. This position requires a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Vocational Counseling/Assessments, Psychology, Sociology or related field. Two years experience in administering assessments. SSI background is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain relationships in a multicultural environment.
JOB DEVELOPER
This position markets One Stop employment services to area employers and collaborates with Placement Specialist and other One Stop staff to connect job seekers to employment opportunities and assists in their job retention efforts to meet agency, state and departmental benchmarks. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, vocational counseling or a related field. Three years professional experience, knowledge of staffing, employer marketing, career assessments and evaluations, job development and job placement. Demonstrated ability to monitor program progress and make improvement recommendations based on internal and external factors. Strong written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation skills. Ability to develop relationships in a multicultural environment.
QUALITY CONTROL & DATA COORDINATOR
This position develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive quality control system the W-2 Eligibility and Assessment program. Job duties consist of reporting and monitoring service delivery issues related to contracts, required performance standards, quality control of computer data systems entry and maintenance and case management service planning and program recommendations. Job requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services related are and two years related experience including case management. Ability to develop and maintain relationships in a multicultural environment.
The benefits package for these positions consists of health and dental insurance, a pension plan, tuition reimbursement, sick time, etc; additional paid time-off benefits for exempt staff includes three personal days and four weeks of vacation.
