Many gathered to celebrate the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Thomas H. Wynn Memorial Apartments: Veterans Manor on Memorial Day. The Manor is a 52-unit apartment building, located at 35th and Wisconsin Ave.. Each unit has one-bedroom homes dedicated to low income veterans to live independently in safe, secure, permanent and supportive housing while offering the individual support systems to maintain independence. Construction began in Spring 2010 and completed Spring 2011, with the first tenants moving in May 2011. Pictured above is Milwaukee Urban League president/ CEO Ralph Hollmon and Gen.
