Lead Cook
The Social Development Commission (SDC) plans, develops and operates programs to improve the lives of low-income people in Milwaukee. This position is responsible for coordinating the preparation of all meals on a daily basis. Job duties include providing direction and mentoring to production staff. Preparing panning charts, reports, etc.; troubleshooting problems and answering questions from staff. This position also performs additional duties for the Food Services Supervisor and assists the Production Assistants as needed during absences. Job requirements consist of a High School diploma or the equivalent and five years of cooking experience in an institutional setting. Food Serv-Safe Certification is preferred.
