For over forty-five years, the Social Development Commission (SDC) has served as a planner, coordinator, and implementer of human service programs for low-income individuals and families in Milwaukee County. We currently have the following job openings:
SITE ASSISTANT
This position serves as receptionist, provides office support and performs cook aide duties at a Head Start site. Job requirements include a High School diploma or the equivalent, general clerical skills, frequent standing and the ability to lift 30 to 35 pounds occasionally. This is a 10-month non-exempt position that follows the MPS calendar; working from late August through May. The benefits package includes health insurance, pension plan, tuition reimbursement, two personal days, sick days and paid time-off during winter and spring breaks.
*CRISIS CASE MANAGER
This position works with clients in identifying needs, provide information, make referrals and provide direct services. Job requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services area with three years related experience. Excellent verbal and written communications, aboveaverage computer skills, the ability to protect and maintain confidential information and work in a multicultural environment. *Benefit package described below.
*QUALITY ASSURANCE COORDINATOR
This position works with appropriate staff to coordinate the evaluation of SDC programs based on agency goals and established performance standards. Assists programs in responding to audit requests and best practice research. Responds to service complaints from SDC clients to facilitate the resolution of issues. Provides support to the Executive team and other departments as needed. Job requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Service, Business or a related area and three years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of program monitoring procedures. Good analytical and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills. *Benefit package described below.
*RESOURCES AND SUPPORT COORDINATOR – BILINGUAL (ENGLISH AND SPANISH)
This position is responsible for designing and providing services for the Integrated Services Case Management Unit. Works with other SDC and community social service staff members to coordinate service delivery. Develops and implements orientation and trainings Job requirements include Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW); three years related experience and/or training; excellent communication, organizational and computer skills. *Benefit package described below.
