For over forty-five years, the Social Development Commission (SDC) has served as a planner, coordinator, and implementer of human service programs for low-income individuals and families in Milwaukee County. We currently have the following job openings:
PROGRAM SUPPORT MANAGER
The Program Support Manager will manage all phases of the agency’s grant writing process and funding portfolio; assess program funding needs and develop a revenue generation plan to secure funding. Also coordinate research and grant writing and track results. Requirements include a Master’s Degree in a social service or public administration related area and a minimum of five years related experience or training. SDC’s benefits package includes a health plan, vacation, sick & personal days, flexible spending account, pension plan and tuition reimbursement.
FAMILY ADVOCATE
The Family Advocate is responsible for the case management of youth referred to the Youth & Family Development (YFD) Program through the court system, schools or other sources. Job duties will include developing an Individual Service Plan (ISP) for each youth, working with youth to ensure that they are making progress toward the satisfactory completion of their plan and working with parents to help them access YFD and other SDC services. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in human services and two years of related experience. This is a full-time temporary position; the work schedule will vary based on program needs. No benefits are included with this position.
