Social Development Commission
Our Mission: Empowering Milwaukee County residents with the resources to move beyond poverty. For over forty-five years, the Social Development Commission (SDC) has served as a planner, coordinator, and implementer of human service programs for low-income individuals and families in Milwaukee County.
We currently have the following job openings:
Healthy Relationship Educator
The Healthy Relationship Educator will provide healthy relationship and marriage education methods to individuals and couples. Requirements include a minimum of Associate degree in social work (additional education increases pay). Two years related experience in healthy relationship or marriage education facilitator, functioning as a support group educator or teaching experience working with adults and families. Candidate must have knowledge of community and social service resources; the ability to develop and maintain relationships in a multicultural environment; good computer skills and possess a valid driver’s license. Bilingual – (Spanish/English speaking) is preferred.
Program Assistant
The Program Assistant will provide clerical support to the Weatherization Program, including answering telephones, providing excellent customer service to all visitors, performing administrative duties, scheduling audits, maintaining tracking log, typing reports, diagrams, letters and proposals using WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT and making travel arrangements. Requirements include a minimum of a High school diploma or the equivalent with four years of administrative/ clerical experience.
Data Entry
The Data Entry position supports the Bookkeeping Unit of the Food Service Program and performs duties such as preparing compiling, sorting and entering data, establishing entry priorities, processing documents and reviewing data for deficiencies, verifying data entered while maintaining a high level of confidentiality to ensure program and reporting requirements are met. Requirements include a minimum of a High school diploma or the equivalent with four years of administrative/ clerical experience.
