Dozens of individuals visited the Department of Workforce Development’s first Job Center Access Point and took advantage of the many resources available to get them on the path to obtaining gainful employment.
People left with job leads, a well prepared resume, new interviewing skills and information on training that can put them in a position to not only find a job, but a career.
Emannuel Williams was one of those individuals amazed by the variety of job services and other assistance available to people looking for employment and training.
Jerry Grover was grateful for the help pursuing employment as a welder.
Shanta Winters took advantage of the expertise of the employment counselors who were on-hand to provide resume assistance and identify training opportunities.
These individuals took the first step to obtaining a rewarding career. They found the basic services that can move them from a period of joblessness to family-supporting employment.
