Pete’s Fruit Market expanded and celebrated Grand Opening

28 January 2012 Please wait No Comment

Pete Tsiritidis was joined by members of his family in cutting the ribbon recently at Pete’s Fruit Market which has expanded and opened the doors to its larger store with a Grand Opening during one of the last unseasonably warm days in January at 1400 S. Union St., on the corner of 17th Street and Greenfield Avenue. Tsiritidis started Pete’s Fruit Market in 1975 in Waukegan, Ill. He moved the business to Milwaukee in 1993. The store includes fresh fruits and vegetables, dried beans and grains, an expanded grocery section, including Latin and other ethnic foods, pre-packaged meat (butchered on-site, including Amish-raised chicken), hot and cold deli items and freshly-made salsas and guacamole. The store will also be an added distribution location for The Milwaukee Courier Newspaper. (Photos by Cy White)
