Tour the Central Library, 814 W. Wisconsin Ave., with the Friends. Free tours begin at 11 a.m. each Saturday afternoon in the rotunda. Tour goers receive a coupon for a free book at the end of the tour in the Bookseller Store and Café. To arrange for a special tour call (414) 286-TOUR.

UFOs and Government: The Only Way to Tell the Truth is in Fiction: From World War II to the Novel
FOAM UFOs and how governments the world over have dealt with sightings, speculation and controversy will be discussed by Richard Thieme, co-author of UFOs and Government: A Historical Inquiry at Bay View Library, 2566 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., Wednesday, May 11, 6:30-7:30 p.m. His program will include information from that book and touch briefly on his novel FOAM. A question and answer period follows the presentation.
Meet the Author: Duncan Tonatiuh
Meet Duncan Tonatiuh, author and illustrator of Funny Bones, Separate is Never Equal and others in an event presented by the Center for Latin-American and Caribbean Studies and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in partnership with the Milwaukee Public Library at Forest Home Library, 1432 W. Forest Home Ave., Saturday, May 14, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Tonatiuh’s work is inspired by Ancient Mexican art, and aims to create images that both honor the past and address contemporary issues.
