Palermo’s Pizza is once again partnering with the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee for the company’s seventh annual Easter Baskets for the Hungry program that was held on Wednesday, April 16.

More than 100 Palermo’s employees and volunteers will gather at the Hunger Task Force, 201 S. Hawley Court, to assemble 1,500 Easter baskets filled with a week’s worth of holiday meals for local families in need.

As a nod to the company’s 50th anniversary, Palermo’s will celebrate 50 Years of Giving with a surprise plastic golden Easter egg in 50 randomly selected Easter baskets.

These eggs each contained $50 to enable 50 families to purchase an additional meal beyond the Easter holiday.

Since 2008, Palermo’s has donated more than 285,000 pounds of food, providing Easter meals to 7,500 families in the community through this program.
