The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers in various areas beginning with its annual Toy Shop details on how to get involved are the following:
URGENT NEED! – Toy Shop Registration: We are looking for volunteers in the field of social work, human resources, human services or students in those fields to help with registration 12/2 through 12/6 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or sign up for a half day.
Shuttle Drivers: We need a few individuals to help drive volunteers in a passenger van back and forth from a nearby park to the Distribution Center located at 5880 N. 60th Street on December 17th, 18th, and 19th.
Paperwork would need to be filled out 2 weeks prior to the program as a background check and drivers check must be completed and approved.
Toy Sorting: December 13thten volunteers are needed to finish sorting toys.
Distribution Days: December 17th and 18th volunteers are needed for the 2:30 to 5:30 pm shift. On December 19 volunteers are still needed for the 8:00 am to 12:00 and the 2:30 to 5:30 shifts.
Christmas Family Feast Kitchen: Help is needed on 12/23, 12/24 & 12/25 on the 6:00 am to 10:00 am shift as well as the 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm shift. Must be18 years old for this activity.
Mascots: Welcome guests and entertain the children
Welcome Carolers: Are needed to be part of 3 shifts that start at 9:30 am, 11:00 am and 12:30 pm. You do not need to be a great singer just willing to spread the Christmas spirit. Song books and a choir director will be provided. Bell Ringing
