‘Tools for Learning Project’ provides backpacks filled with school supplies to needy students

The AT&T Pioneers donated 621 new backpacks filled with school supplies for Milwaukee elementary school students during visits to six schools on Thurs., Aug. 29, 2013.
Each year, the AT&T Pioneers work to raise money to purchase backpacks and school supplies that are then donated to needy students as part of their “Tools for Learning Project.” Last year, the Pioneers donated over 1,000 backpacks to more than 30 elementary schools around the state.
The Milwaukee schools receiving backpacks for students this year are: Clarke Street School, Hayes Bilingual School, Silver Spring Elementary, Oliver Wendell Holmes School, Young Leaders Academy and Jared Bruce Academy.
