On Friday, May 24 beginning at 6:00 pm at U.S. Cellular Arena located at 400 W. Kilbourn Ave. in Milwaukee, approximately 1,400 students will graduate from Milwaukee Area Technical College’s associate degree, technical diploma, apprentice and adult high school programs.
U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisconsin) will serve as the keynote speaker. Dr. Michael L. Burke, MATC president, will officially confer the degrees; and Melanie C. Holmes, vice president, World of Work Solutions for Manpower- Group and vice chairperson of the MATC District Board, will address the assembly.
McKenzie Hall, who will graduate with an associate degree supervisory management, will deliver the student speech. Stephanie Christian-Lobley, advance practice neuotrauma nurse at the Medical College of Wisconsin and 1994 MATC nursing graduate, will receive the Distinguished Alumnus Award. Tam Quy Hoang, who is graduating from the special event management program, will receive the Outstanding Technical Diploma Graduate Award.
