For over forty-five years, the Social Development Commission (SDC) has served as a planner, coordinator, and implementer of human service programs for low-income individuals and families in Milwaukee County. We currently have the following job openings:
Network Administrator
The individual is responsible for maintaining hardware, software, and infrastructure, within a network environment. The incumbent will continuously monitor the activity and stability of the network and network connectivity, as well as, develop, monitor network policies, web filters, and routing tables to the network appliances.
Head Start (ERSEA) Enrollment, Recruitment, Selection, Eligibility & Attendance Coordinator
Responsible for managing and coordinating child recruitment, retention, marketing and public relations and faculty development for SDC Head Start Program.
Head Start Family Advocate
The Family Advocate recruits, screens and enrolls families into the county- wideHead Start (HS) program. Serves as a welcoming and positive liaison for families to build their initial relationship to the program and encourages parent engagement in the program. This position supports the implementation of family goal setting with parents, maintains a directory of resources for HS families and assists with community referrals and follow-up for families.
Head Start Bus Aide (No Benefits offered)
The Bus Aide assists in the safe and pleasant transportation of children enrolled in the program, under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager and Transportation Coordinator. Ensure that each child is safely secured on the bus, escorting the child as needed, interacting with the children for the purpose of promoting a behavioral environment that is positive and social. A Bus Aide may drive the route (if employee has a CDL) as a substitute driver if needed. This position is responsible for the children from the time they get to the bus until they are signed into the classroom. If parent is not present at the bus stop this position assists the child onto the bus.
Head Start On-call Driver (No Benefits offered)
Head Start Drivers supervise and transport children, by driving a minibus, to and from school. Provides door-to-door service for morning, midday and afternoon routes at assigned site; may have children’s parents as passengers as well.
