For over forty-five years, the Social Development Commission (SDC) has served as a planner, coordinator, and implementer of human service programs for low-income individuals and families in Milwaukee County. We currently have the following job openings:

Head Start Administrative Management Support Assistant
The Head Start Adminstrative Management Assistant will be primarily responsible for supporting the Head Start Director and the Assistant Directors of Head Start. The Adminstrative Management Assistant will maintain schedules and calendars, prioritize mail and phone calls, arrange meeting agendas, organize and maintain files, provide research and write correspondence as needed.

Head Start Assistant Director of Family Community Partnerships
The Assistant Head Start Director of Family and Community Partnerships is responsible for assistng the Head Start Director in managing program operations that are relevant and compliant with the Office of Head Start’s Protocols on Building Family and Community Partnerships: Building Relationships and Strenthening Families Promoting Parent and Family Engagement & Integrated Program Services.

The Assistant Head Start Director of Family and Community Partnerships will implement the structure, systems and procedures developed by the Head Start Director related to the related protocol and performance standards. The incumbent will hold supervisory responsibility over (1) Family Goal Setting, (2) accessing Community Services and Resources, and (4) Community Partnerships as it relates to developing and maintaining Advisory Committes and tracking Transitional Services.

Head Start Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education and Health
The Assistant Head Start Director of Education, Early Childhood and Health is responsible for assisting the Head Start Director in managing program operations that are relavant and compliant with the Office of Head Start’s Protocols. The HS-ECH Assistant Director will implement the structure, systems and procedures developed by the Head Start Director related to the related protocol and performance standards. The incumbent will hold supervisory responsibility over Education, Health, Dental, Transition, Transportation Nutrition and Dental Coordinators as well as the Head Teachers at all SDC non-delegate sites.

Head Start Assistant Director of Program and Design
Head Start promotes excellence in program management as a primary support for quality services provided to young children and their families. Programs are required to establish management systems and procedures that effectively support programming and ensure success. The Program Design and Management Function in Head Start ensures this occurs through implementing several measures and principles among which is the annual program self-assessment and training. The Assistant Head Start Director of Program Design and Management is responsible for assisting the Head Start Director in managing program operations that are relavant and compliant with Office of Head Start’s Protocols on Program Design and Management. (Reference: Head Start Performance Standards 1304.50; 1304.51; 1304.52 and 1304.53)

The Assistant Head Start Director of Program Design and Management will implement the structure, systems and procedures developed by the Head Start Direcctor related to the related protocol and performance standards. The incumbent will hold supervisory responsibility over: (1) Program Operations and related Staff Evaluation and Development; (2) Management Systems and Procedures, (3) Suervision of Quality Implementation and Evaluation Staff (4) Fiscal coordination and database systems will also be a part of the PDM division.
