Vote Chris Abele for Milwaukee County Executive on April 5th

March 19, 2011

Congresswoman Gwen Moore

Milwaukee County stands at a crossroads – our community needs more jobs, and we must preserve key services that people rely on every day.

After years of Scott Walker, it’s time for real reform and a new direction for Milwaukee County.

We need a County Executive who will fight for our shared values. That’s why I’m urging you to vote Chris Abele for Milwaukee County Executive on April 5th.

Chris Abele is a business owner, and he’ll finally bring a real economic development strategy to the County that will help create jobs and opportunity in our community.

He shares our deep commitment to protecting quality County services – like transit, health care, public safety, mental health, infrastructure and parks. And Chris Abele is the best person to lead the County in these troubled times. As a private citizen, Chris has strengthened important Milwaukee County organizations. He’s helped thousands of Milwaukee’s kids through his leadership at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee – providing hope and opportunity for young people.

After eight years of Scott Walker, we need to change the direction of Milwaukee County government. Scott Walker made a mess in Milwaukee County – job losses, mountains of debt, and reduced services. And now he’s attacking working families across the state. Republican Jeff Stone is Scott Walker’s candidate for County Executive. Jeff Stone actually said he wants to follow in Walker’s footsteps. He supported Walker’s agenda in Madison, and he’ll do the same thing to Milwaukee County that Walker did.

That’s the last thing we need. On April 5th we can do something about it by voting Chris Abele for Milwaukee County Executive. As County Executive, Chris Abele will bring the bold reforms and new leadership Milwaukee County needs to get back on track. And he’ll always fight for our shared values. I’m proud to support Chris’ candidacy, and I urge you to vote for Chris Abele on April 5th.

Please join me on April 5th in voting for real change at Milwaukee County. Vote for jobs. Vote for our community. And send a message to Scott Walker that enough is enough. Vote for Chris Abele for Milwaukee County Executive on Tuesday, April 5.
