Connecting workers to the workplace

October 23, 2010

A program is helping working families buy a vehicle to be used to get to and from work. The Ways to Work program is coordinated in Milwaukee County by the Social Development Commission.

It provides low-interest loans to low and moderate income working families to help with transportation to jobs. There are good paying jobs available in the Milwaukee area but they are often located away from areas where job seekers live or public transit lines. Ways to Work addresses those challenges by connecting workers with reliable transportation.

For more information on the Ways to Work program and eligibility requirements, call 414-906-2822 or visit the SDC website at: www.cr-sdc.org.
