Women from all over Milwaukee County are invited to celebrate their mind, body and spirit at Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s Annual Women’s day event on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Italian Conference Center , 631 E. Chicago St. The event is free and open to the public. To reserve a spot, send an email to pncocoa@gmail.com by Feb. 11.
Women’s Day is sponsored by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s Milwaukee Alumnae and Kappa Eta Chapters. Its aim is to encourage women of all ages to take charge of their well-being, from physical to financial health.
From 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m., guests are invited to begin the day with Zumba, the popular Latin-inspired dance-fitness program. Registration and a hot breakfast follow at 8 a.m.
Guests will also have an opportunity to learn about “Lose to Win,” the sorority’s national initiative for its Mental & Physical Health program, as well as how to buy tickets to Delta Memorial Endowment Fund’s 2011 Literary Luncheon with guest author, Dr. Ian Smith (VH1’s “Celebrity Fit Club”).
