Hupy law firm’s charitable contributions touched the lives of many needy families throughout Wisconsin and Illinois this holiday season. From giving holiday food baskets to providing toys for the kids that Santa forgot, the law firm’s commitment to giving back to the communities they serve continued.
The firm donated $7,500 to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets to families in the Milwaukee area. One hundred families received Thanksgiving food baskets filled with all the ingredients to prepare a tasty holiday meal. Another 100 families received baskets for Christmas. The 14th annual holiday food basket giveaways were held at the Pick n” Save Food Store, 2255 N. 35th Street.
Tiaysha Bradshaw, organizer of the giveaway, continued a family tradition that began 14 years ago with her late grandmother. After her grandmother past away, Tiaysha’s mom, Pasty Bradshaw continued the program until her death 2 years ago. Tiaysha is the third generation to carry on the program.
Local churches, schools, organizations and social workers are contacted to identify families that need assistance. Every year Tiaysha’s family and friends gather to assist with the giveaway. Attorney Chad Kreblin was also on hand for the event. “We are happy to be able to give back to the community we serve and very appreciative of all the hard work and dedication of the Bradshaw family”, said Attorney Kreblin.
Additionally, the law firm donated another $7,500 to Feeding America to purchase holiday meals for hundreds of other needy families in Wisconsin and Illinois. They also made a donation to Career Youth Development (CYD) to support the 26th annual CYD “Lil Jeanetta Robinson toys for the children that Santa forgot but God remembered” and they supported the Milwaukee County Sheriff Department’s toy giveaway for underprivileged children.
