The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee awarded degrees to 2,140 students, on December 14, 2014, during Winter Commencement ceremonies at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena, 400 W. Kilbourn Ave.
Interim Chancellor Mark Mone welcomed students and their families to UWM’s 111th commencement – and the first in the newly named UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.
Beth Pritchard, principal and strategic advisor to Sunrise Beauty Studio (‘69, international relations), gave the commencement address.
Pritchard was the first female vice president at SC Johnson in Racine, and was president and CEO of Bath & Body Works in Columbus, Ohio.
Degrees were awarded to 1,347 bachelor’s degree candidates, 668 master’s degree candidates and 125 doctoral degree candidates.
Combined with those who graduated in May, the total number of degrees awarded to the class of 2014 will exceed 5,300.
