For over forty-five years, the Social Development Commission (SDC) has served as a planner, coordinator, and implementer of human service programs for low-income individuals and families in Milwaukee County. We currently have the following job openings:
Head Start Bus Aide
The Bus Aide assists in the safe and pleasant transportation of children enrolled in the program, under the direct supervision of the Site Supervisor and the Bus Coordinator. Ensure that each child is safely secured on the bus, escorting the child as needed, interacting with the children for the purpose of promoting a behavioral environment that is positive and social. May drive the route (if employee has a CDL) as a substitute driver if needed. This position is responsible for the children from the time they get to the bus until they are signed into the classroom. If parent is not present at the bus stop this position assists the child onto the bus.
Head Start Bus Driver & On-call Bus Driver
Supervise and transport children, by driving a mini bus, to and from school. Provides door to door service for AM mid-day and pm routes at assigned site. May have children’s parents as passengers as well.
