Take the Rexnord Turkey Ticker Challenge!

Rexnord Corporation to match Thanksgiving turkey donation.

For the second consecutive year, Rexnord Corporation is teaming up with Hunger Task Force to run the Rexnord Turkey Ticker Challenge! Donating turkeys to Hunger Task Force has become a Thanksgiving tradition and local leader Rexnord has stepped up to once again match the number of birds that will be delivered to local families for the holiday.

Donating a turkey online or in person at Hunger Task Force will result in the Turkey Ticker count ticking up on Hunger Task Force’s I-94 electronic signboard. Last year, 1,390 turkeys were donated and matched by Rexnord for a total of 2,780 fresh turkeys delivered to local families.

Hunger in Milwaukee continues to be a problem with one out of two children going to bed hungry every night.

Hunger Task Force will be filling Thanksgiving bins with donations of festive foods to ease the stress for families so they can enjoy a home cooked holiday meal that will include donated fresh potatoes and gravy, fresh fruit, pie for dessert, and of course, the turkey!

“The Turkey Ticker is a great reminder that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Rexnord is demonstrating great leadership by matching gifts made by the public.

Every time the Turkey Ticker notches up, we have the satisfaction of knowing another local family gets a home cooked meal,” offered Sherrie Tussler, Hunger Task Force Executive Director.

“Community involvement is an important part of who we are at Rexnord. Our ongoing work with Hunger Task Force makes sense at a time of year when hunger issues are top of mind for so many,” stated Linda Groth, Senior Attorney, and a company leader in Rexnord volunteerism. “Speaking on behalf of the Rexnord Foundation and company volunteers, we are proud to support the Turkey Ticker initiative, knowing it’s helping local families.”

Donations to Hunger Task Force can be made online at HungerTaskForce.org or in person. Hunger Task Force is located at 201 S. Hawley Court off I-94, just west of Miller Park and the phone number is (414) 777-0483.
