Wisconsin Participates in Mike Bloomberg 2020’s National ‘Day One’ with Milwaukee Canvass

January 17, 2020

Wisconsin joined 27 other states in a kickoff of a national campaign to elect Mike Bloomberg

On Jan. 11, the Wisconsin for Bloomberg 2020 team hosted a Milwaukee canvass as part of Day One, a national event to mark the first day of the nationwide campaign to defeat Donald Trump and elect Mike Bloomberg president of the United States.

The campaign has already demonstrated organizational strength with more than 500 staff in more than 30 states, activating networks of supporters who believe Mike is the one who will get it done by winning in November and beating Donald Trump. But, today, supporters and organizers came out enthusiastically to demonstrate their support of Mike Bloomberg and their belief that he will bring quiet leadership, common sense, experience, and a return to decency to Washington.

“Wisconsin is so committed to beating Donald Trump and making Mike Bloomberg the next president of the United States that organizers and dedicated volunteers turned out in a snowstorm to canvass neighborhoods and join hundreds of others in 27 states to kickoff Bloomberg 2020’s national campaign,” said Jorna Taylor, state director of Wisconsin for Bloomberg 2020 State Director. “Mike has taken on our country’s toughest fights — and won. Wisconsinites support Mike because they know that as President, he will do the same.”

In Wisconsin, organizers and volunteers canvassed Milwaukee neighborhoods knocking doors and speaking to voters.
