A group of 30 multicultural high school students in southeastern Wisconsin pulled up to Milwaukee City Hall in limousines to receive scholarships at a luncheon on Thursday, April 28. Common Council President Ashanti Hamilton and other Common Council members attended, along with guest speaker, Judge Derek Mosley.

McDonald’s is proud to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) scholarship program, which distributed a total of $60,000 in 2016. The program assists students of all backgrounds with several scholarships including: Asian-Pacific Students Increasing Achievement (RMHC/ASIA), African American Future Achievers (RMHC/Future Achievers), Hispanic American Commitment to Education Resources (RMHC/HACER) and general academic scholarships (RMHC/Scholars).

In honor of the recipients, McDonald’s arranged an event that included transportation to-and-from school via limousine. Scholarship winners also had a special opportunity to meet with community leaders and area dignitaries at Milwaukee’s City Hall and have lunch at the InterContinental Milwaukee Hotel.
