Employers and Other Resources Offered

spring-community-job-resource-fair-sdcWorkplaces seeking to hire new workers will be among the opportunities offered at the 8th Annual SDC Spring Community Job and Resource Fair.

The Fair will be held Saturday, May 31 from 10 am to 3 pm at Journey House at 2110 W. Scott Street.

Residents looking for jobs will have the chance to talk to potential employers.

Among businesses and agencies scheduled to be hiring at the fair are Job Corps, Esperanza Unida, Aurora Healthcare, Goodwill Industries, and Dairyland Bus Company.

There will also be job training opportunities provided, health screenings for blood pressure and diabetes, financial education, housing resources and educational opportunities.

Milwaukee County Child Support Debt Reduction workers will be on hand as well as staff from the Driver’s License Recovery program for on-site traffic case review.

The Spring Community Job and Resource Fair is a project of the Social Development Commission in partnership with Journey House.

The event is free and open to the public.
