Earth Day Saturday celebrated with community project held at Victory Over Violence Park

CYD-Family-Urban-Grassroots-Alderwoman-Coggs-Keep-Greater-Milwaukee-Beautiful-Ori-Entertainment-celebrated-Earth-Day-Saturday

The CYD Family, Urban Grassroots INC, Alderwoman Coggs, Keep Greater Milwaukee Beautiful & Ori Entertainment celebrated Earth Day Saturday, April 19, 2014. The community project was held at Victory Over Violence Park, 2615 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. Alderwoman Coggs stated that the event would “help bring the community together while taking care of our environment.”

The event was a success, with many members of the community coming out to participate, as seen above. Volunteers were provided with food and performances by The Ina Onilu Dance & Ensemble at the event as well. (Photo by Robert A. Bell)
