Helping African American men become healthy and well informed is the primary goal of the website, Brain Brawn & Body (www.brainbrawnbody.com).
Brain Brawn & Body was born out of the necessity to provide reliable health and wellness information to a population in dire need of this information.
The brainchild of Eric Von, a former Milwaukee radio talk show host, Brain Brawn & Body will launch ‘The New Faces of Brain Brawn & Body’ in its anniversary month, February, 2014.
Those ‘Faces’ will adorn the homepage of the website and the compelling stories of the men who are ‘The New Faces of Brain Brawn & Body will be told on the website’s pages.
“I want to engage more men in the conversation about health in a more public manner,” said publisher/ editor Eric Von.
“It’s important for the public to know there is a critical conversation being held on healthcare across this country.
We want to involve more people in this conversation and raise the level of discourse on those issues that impact African American men and their families.
In addition to health and wellness issues, nutrition, education and finances are introduced with regularity on the site.
Helping men live the healthiest lifestyle possible impacts families and communities.
We’re taking Brain Brawn & Body right to the communities we serve in 2014, with a series of health care events beginning with ‘The New Faces of Brain Brawn & Body’”said Von.
Registering to become one of ‘The New Faces of Brain Brawn & Body’, contestants are asked to submit a photo and your health related story of 500 words or less and a brief biographical sketch to brainbrawnbody.com/newfaces.
18 winners will be selected. The contest runs from January 13-31, 2014. Winners will be announced Thursday, February 20th, 2014.
