Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Back to School Festival Kick-Off

Festival needs you, volunteers and vendors event kick-off

Looking for a fun filled evening and an opportunity to give back to the community. Join us on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, 5:30-8:00 pm at Gene’s Lanes & Lounge, 6410 West Fond du Lac Avenue to sign up to be a volunteer or vendor for the Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Back to School Festival.

Over the past nineteen years we have given out to children book bags and school supplies and over that time period we have given out over 80,000 book bags and school supplies. This year we will have a gospel music/mime/praise & worship pavilion, three on three basketball playoff, hair cut area, arts and crafts workshops, small games, inflatable attractions, youth talent stage, health and fitness area, food and a great family day in the park.

We are in full swing and we want you to be a part of this historical event, save the date Saturday, August 10, 2013, 11:30 am- 6:00 pm; Dr. Martin L. King Park, 1531 W. Vliet Street for the festival.

Sign up to volunteer and be a vendor get a gift right on the spot when you enter the door. Join us for an evening full of fun, friends, food, door prizes and excitement as we serve our community.
