NOTICE OF REFERENDUM

April 2, 2013
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at an election to be held in the City of Milwaukee on April 2, 2013, the following advisory referendum question will be submitted to a vote of the people.
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Election Commission of the City of Milwaukee is directed to provide, on the April 2, 2013, spring general election ballot, an advisory referendum asking electors whether the state of Wisconsin should continue to permit citizens to register to vote at the polls on election day; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the following referendum question shall be submitted to a vote of the electors at this election:
The question will appear on the ballot as follows:
“Should the state of Wisconsin continue to permit citizens to register to vote at the polls on Election Day?”
YES NO
EXPLANATION
A “yes” vote by an elector would indicate that the elector agrees that the state of Wisconsin should continue to permit citizens to register to vote at the polls on Election Day.
A “no” vote by an elector would indicate that the elector does not agree that the state of Wisconsin should continue to permit citizens to register to vote at the polls on Election Day.
