Fathers and daughters spent a special evening together at the 10th Annual Daddy Daughter Dance.
Hundreds of men and their daughters packed the field house at North Division High School for the event organized by the Milwaukee Recreation Department in partnership with the Social Development Commission and the Milwaukee Fatherhood Initiative. The night featured dinner, photos, raffle prizes and dancing which included the Cupid Shuffle and the Electric Slide.
The Daddy Daughter Dance is held as a way to encourage fathers to engage more fully with their daughters and for the young women to build a stronger relationship with their dads. More than 500 fathers and daughters from all walks enthusiastically took part in the evening’s activities. Judging by the smiles on their faces, the dance was another great success.
