Congresswoman Gwen Moore welcomed Dr. Maya Kassandra Soetoro-Ng, the sister of President Barack Obama to African World Festival held on Saturday, Aug. 4 and Sunday, Aug. 5 at Milwaukee’s lakefront. The Obama Presidential Campaign reached out to the organizers of AWF and wanted to be involved, and sent Maya who is stomping for the re-election of her brother. Staff and volunteers were also out strong at the festival collecting ‘Own Your Vote’ cards along with educating Milwaukee on President Obama’s accomplishments to make sure he wins in November!
