Milwaukee County Park pools open Sat. June 16

Swim lesson sign up this weekend

Milwaukee County Park outdoor deep-well pools will open for the summer season on Saturday, June 16 from 12:30pm – 4:30pm daily (Wilson Pool hours are 1:30pm to 4:30pm daily). The outdoor Milwaukee County Park Pools daily admission rates for age 12+ is $2 and $1 for ages 3-11. Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele, said, “For kids and their families, Milwaukee County Parks’ outdoor pools are where summer happens. Whether they want to take swim lessons or just take a dip, our pools are very affordable and conveniently located.”

Swim lessons are available at all nine outdoor deep-well pools. Sign up begins at the pools on Saturday, June 16 at 9am and lessons start on Saturday, June 23 at 10:45am – 11:45am. Swim lesson dates continue every Saturday throughout the summer. The cost is $38 per person. Evening swim will be open at Hales Corners, Jackson, Sheridan, and Wilson Park Pools Monday and Wednesday from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. It will also be offered at Holler, Kosciuszko, McCarty, Grobschmidt and Washington Park Pools on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. General admission for the evening swim for all participants is $1.

The cost for an outdoor annual individual season passes for age 12 years and over is $20. The cost for an outdoor annual individual season pass for ages 3-11 is $10. Season pool passes are valid at the listed nine outdoor county pools:

Jackson Pool
3500 W. Forest Home Ave.

Holler Pool
5151 S. 6th Street

McCarty Pool
2567 S. 79th Street

Grobschmidt Pool
2500 S. 15th Ave.

Sheridan Pool
4800 S. Lake Dr.

Washington Pool
1859 N. 40th

Wilson Pool
4001 S. 20th St.

Hales Corners
5765 S. New Berlin Rd.

Pelican Cove Aquatic Center
2201 S. 7th St.

Two aquatic centers, Cool Waters in Greenfield Park and The Schulz Aquatic Center in Lincoln Park have been open since May 26th. Hours at both aquatic centers are 10am to 8pm Mondays – Thursdays and 10am to 6pm Fridays- Sundays and holidays. Locations and admission fees are listed.

Cool Waters in Greenfield Park, 2028 S. 124th St., $6.75 for ages 12+, $5 for ages 3-11

Schulz Aquatic Center, 1301 W. Hampton Ave., $6.75 for ages 12+, $5 for ages 3-11

Both outdoor pools and aquatic centers may be rented for events and private gatherings. Season pool passes may be obtained at all outdoor Milwaukee County pools, Community Centers, and the County Parks Administrative Office, 9480 Watertown Plank Rd. in Wauwatosa.
