New Testament Church of Milwaukee will host its 13th Annual College & Career Fair on Saturday, May 19, 2012, from 8:30AM – 2:00PM. This year’s theme, “God’s Plan for Success”, is based on Joshua 1:6-9. Targeted primarily for high school students, the College & Career Fair provides students the opportunity to learn about college life and to obtain expert career advice in a Christian environment. Students will attend workshops and other information sessions while interacting with colleges and universities, college students and alumni, mentors and other individuals from a variety of professional and technical fields.
The opening session of the fair will begin with praise and worship by the New Testament Church praise teams, followed by a biblical skit tied to the theme of God’s Plan for Success, and will conclude with the scripture message delivered by Minister Aaron Suggs, youth director at New Testament Church. The Excellence in Education Luncheon will feature a keynote address by Minister Marcus Arrington, Ph.D. Dr. Arrington is an Assistant Principal / Transition Specialist for Milwaukee Public Schools and recent author of Young, Anointed and Empowered. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Grambling State University and has since obtained an associate degree in Theology and a doctorate in Christian Education. His church home is Parklawn Assembly Church of God in Milwaukee, WI. The focus of his message will be on faith and leadership.
The fair will be held in the Family Life and Education Center of New Testament Church located at 10201 W. Bradley Road. Cost is $5.00 in advance (April 15 – May 13) and $7.00 at the door. This nominal fee is to defray some of the costs of the event.
