Since Scott Walker was elected, residents of the Milwaukee community and the entire state have suffered badly. What has been seen under Walker? The worst job situation in the country. Funding for bus systems slashed. Drastic cuts to education and teachers. The end of worker rights for most government employees. A restrictive voter ID law. A Republican war on women. And more.
It’ll only get worse if people let Walker stay in office.
Fortunately, hundreds of thousands of citizens of Milwaukee and Wisconsin have stood up and said, “Enough!” They’ve organized against Walker, and thanks to their hard work, a recall vote is set, with the primary election this May 8.
The only way to replace Walker is by voting for a candidate who can win this fight, stand up to the big money supporting Walker, and one who will battle to get things done for us in Madison. There’s only one person on the May 8 primary ballot that will win both of these important fights – and that person is Tom Barrett.
Tom is a man of integrity, character and compassion. Which was seen when he served in the Legislature in Madison. Tom has fought to bring jobs back to Milwaukee, fought to improve the health of the poor, fought for better schools. If Tom is elected governor, he’ll continue to fight discrimination and injustice. He’ll bring back tax relief for seniors and the working poor. He’ll reverse the cuts to education. And he’ll bring together a state that Walker has ripped apart.
Get out and vote for Tom Barrett in the primary recall election on Tuesday May 8. It’s the best chance to stop Walker’s radical ideological makeover of Wisconsin and get the help the people need and deserve from Madison.
