Community events address Wisconsin’s high rate of African American Infant Mortality

Join the Milwaukee LIHF Collaborative to hear recommendations to eliminate racial disparities in infant mortality in Milwaukee by 2020. This Community Action Plan is the result of a collaborative effort involving more than 30 organizations across Southeastern Wisconsin over the past 18 months. Margaret Henningsen, executive director of the Women’s Fund, will be one of several speakers. Similar events across the state include:

Racine: April 25, 5 p.m., Gateway Technical College

Beloit: April 26, 5 p.m., LaCasa Grande

Kenosha: April 27, 11a.m., Kenosha County Job Center

LIHF is a project of the Wisconsin Partnership Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. The Wisconsin Partnership Program’s Oversight and Advisory Committee will invest up to $10 million over a multi-year period for this initiative.
