Milwaukee area fathers involved in raising their daughters will get to share a special evening with them. The Milwaukee Recreation Department, in partnership with the Milwaukee Fatherhood Initiative and the Social Development Commission (SDC), will host their ninth Annual Daddy/ Daughter Dance on Saturday, February 18.
The Dance will be held at North Division High School at 1011 W. Center Street between 6 and 8 pm. The evening will feature a live DJ, dancing, games, food and photos for participants. Dr. Howard Fuller is scheduled to serve as a special guest DJ. The event is part of efforts to increase positive communications of fathers with young women and girls. Research has shown that children are more likely to be healthy when they have fathers who are involved in daily efforts to ensure their health and safety.
