SBA Deputy Administrator visits Milwaukee to tout young entrepreneurship

December 17, 2011

U.S. Small Business Administration Deputy Administrator Marie Johns recently visited Milwaukee on Dec. 1, 2011 to host a Young Entrepreneurs Series (YES) event at the VETransfer Business Accelerator in downtown Milwaukee. While in Milwaukee, Johns met with small business owners to help promote ways to grow the economy and create jobs.

In partnership with the White House, SBA is hosting YES forums in five cities with a specific theme and focus. With youth unemployment twice the national average in many communities, SBA recognizes a need to promote and better support the efforts of young people looking to create jobs. YES is part of a larger effort to reach out to young entrepreneurs and let them know that SBA is here to help them start, grow and succeed as small business owners.
