Author Jodine L. Basterash officially released her book, ‘Your Ruby’s Worth’ on domestic violence at a Domestic Violence Awareness event held at Terri Lynn’s Banquet Hall. The event entitled, ‘Party for a Purpose’ featured speakers discussing domestic violence awareness, self defense demonstrations and words of encouragement from victims of domestic abuse. The event provided information literature for attendees to take home with them as well, including a booklet from the City of Milwaukee Health Department and its Milwaukee Commission on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault entitled ‘You Are Not Alone’.
