Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinics available to public

September 24, 2011

The Centers for Disease Control say that as many 49,000 Americans die from the flu each year. Many of those deaths could be prevented with an annual flu vaccine. Each vaccine helps to protect the recipient, as well as everyone that comes in contact with them.

Seasonal flu vaccination clinics administered by the Aurora Visiting Nurse Association will begin September 26 in Milwaukee.

The clinics will take place at community locations throughout the area. Cost for a seasonal flu vaccination is $30 when paying by cash or check, and pneumonia shots are $65. Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage Plans and Medicaid are accepted as payment. Must be age nine or older to receive vaccination.
