A group of young professionals is assisting young people prepare for the start of school. FUEL Milwaukee is conducting a Back to School Drive for the Youth and Family Development Program of the Social Development Commission (SDC).
FUEL Milwaukee is an initiative of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce (MMAC) with more than 6,000 members from around the Milwaukee area. The group adopted SDC for the year and has gotten involved in a series of events including the Back to School Drive.
FUEL Milwaukee is requesting people drop off new back packs for Middle and High School age students, school supplies like pens, pencils, calculators and flash drives, and health/hygiene items at the MMAC office at 756 N. Milwaukee Street . The offices are open Monday through Friday from 8 to 4:45 pm. The donated items will be distributed by the Social Development Foundation to youth enrolled in SDC’s youth programs top prepare them for the start of the coming school year.
