YMCA Play in the Parks

The YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee (the Y), the Northwestern Mutual Foundation, Midwest Orthopedic Specialty Hospital and Milwaukee County Parks have teamed up to launch Play in the Parks, a new, free program that encourages families to get outside this summer, get moving and enjoy an evening of games and activities that are fun for all.

The second session of Play in the Parks is free and open to all families and will be held at four different Milwaukee parks this summer, from July 25 through Aug. 25 from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Play in the Parks will be held at the following park locations:

HOYT PARK
1800 Swan Blvd, Wauwatosa
Activity Area: Picnic Area 4
Mon., 6-7:30 p.m.
July 25, Aug. 1, 8, 15 & 22

MCGOVERN PARK
5400 N 51 Blvd, Milw.
Activity Area: Picnic Area 4
Tues., 6-7:30 p.m.
July 26, Aug. 2, 9, 16 & 23

GORDON PARK
2828 N Humboldt Blvd, Milw.
Activity Area: Picnic Area 1
Wed., 6-7:30 p.m.
July 27, Aug. 3, 10, 17 & 24

WASHINGTON PARK
1859 N 40 St, Milw.
Activity Area: Picnic Area 5
Thurs., 6-7:30 p.m.
July 28, Aug. 4, 11, 18 & 25

Kids, parents, grandparents – any member of the family who wants to come out and play – are encouraged to visit one, or all, of our designated parks and participate in classic outdoor games like kickball, “Red Light, Green Light,” “Simon Says” and many more.
