Talent Show to be held on July 4th at King Center event

You could be the talented person to win $100.00 on July 4th, 2011 at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park, 1531 W. Vliet Street. Devona Coggs-Jones, the Fourth of July coordinator is looking for youth to come and compete in this great talent contest; Facebook Devona @ Devona Coggs-Jones; Twitter Devona @mizV3e Email Devona @ modelcoggsjones@yahoo.com

Age categories for the contest are as follows: 5-10 years old, 11-14 years old and 15- 19 years old. $100.00 prize for the first place winner in each age category will be given out!

The energy of this talent showcase comes under the direction of Devona Coggs- Jones, who feels that this event will inspire and motivate the youth, teenagers and young adults involved in the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Center as well as those of the entire community. “A contemporary approach to working with our youth helps in keeping the kids involved,” says Ms. Coggs-Jones. “By merging the peace, hope, harmony and the ever-present influence of entertainment, we promote the mission of the King Center!”

To enter the 4th of July Talent Show call Devona Coggs- Jones at (414) 449-4374; auditions are Tuesday thru Thursday at the Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Community Center, 1531 West Vliet Street form 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Also we celebrate our 17th Anniversary of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Back to School Festival, we invite all to come and be a part of this outstanding community event.
