Golfers teed off to support the programs and activities of the Social Development Commission (SDC).
They took part in the Jeff Cirillo Charity Golf Classic in Lake Geneva on June 16th. The many golfers who included Tony Smith of Fox Sports and Today’s TMJ’s Susan Kim and Lance Allen golfed and then bid on auction items, all to raise money for the Social Development Foundation. The Foundation supports SDC efforts including a yearly Youth College Tour and GED Graduation Ceremonies.
Jeff Cirillo told golfers at the dinner following the day of golf at Geneva National Golf Course that he is glad to team with SDC in supporting their programs that assist low-income families and individuals of Milwaukee County. The former Milwaukee Brewer player came to SDC two years ago with the idea of starting the charity tournament. During the dinner program MC’ed by Susan Kim of WTMJ TV, Cirillo also thanked corporate sponsors including Klements, Time Warner Cable and the Milwaukee Admirals for their critical support of the effort.
The Charity Golf Classic was deemed a success in raising funds for SDC programs and Jeff Cirillo has announced that work is already underway to bring the event back for July of 2012.
