In an effort to advance literacy and reinforce the impact that a nutritious breakfast has on a student’s school day, the Roundy’s Foundation made a donation to a special literacy program and served breakfast to third grade students at Lloyd Street School. Roundy’s Foundation donated $5,000 to Sharp Literacy to help support its literacy program for Lloyd’s 3rd graders. The presentation took place at a special breakfast for the students, served by Store director Johnnie Dinkins and a team from store #6879. Students ate cereal topped with fruit, their choice of yogurt or GoGurt and drank milk or juice. They also each received a “goodie bag” of healthy breakfast items to take home and had a chance to mingle with the Kemp’s cow. The Roundy’s Foundation would like to thank Kemps, Yoplait and Kellogg’s for their participation with the breakfast. (Photo by Robert A. Bell)
