Preachers and lecturers conduct Holy Week Revival at Calvary Baptist Church

A four-day Holy Week Revival will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on April 18- 21, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. each evening. Calvary is located at 2959 North Teutonia Ave. where Rev. Dr. John R. Walton, Jr. is the Senior Pastor. This revival is in honor of Calvary ‘s late former Pastor, Rev. Dr. Melvin J. Battle.

The theme for the Revival which begins six days before Easter is, “On the Way to Calvary .” Services for each evening will feature a guest lecturer as well as a guest preacher. The schedule follows:

Monday, April 18 – Guest Lecturer, Rev. Charles Thornhill, Pastor, Mt. Moriah Baptist Church; Guest Preacher, Reverend John K. Patterson, Pastor, Mt. Olive Baptist Church

Tuesday, April 19 – Guest Lecturer, Rev. Don Darius Butler, M. Div., Pastor, Tabernacle Community Baptist Church; Guest Preacher, Rev. Demetrius Williams, Pastor, Community Baptist Church of Greater Milwaukee

Wednesday, April 20 – Guest Lecturer, Rev. Martin Childs, Pastor, Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church ; Guest Preacher, Rev. Dr. Fred Crouther, Pastor, New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church

Thursday, April 21 – Guest Lecturer, Rev. Johnny C. White, Jr., D. Min., Pastor, Greater Galilee Missionary Baptist Church; Guest Preacher, Rev. John W. McVicker, Sr., Pastor, Christ The King Baptist Church. Music will be provided by the choirs of the respective churches.

The community, family and friends are welcome to attend and experience 4 nights of spirit-filled lectures, preaching and music.
